CardFlex, Inc. is an American technology-based financial services company.[1][2] Andrew M. Phillips founded the company, based in Costa Mesa, California, in 2008.[3] CardFlex provides merchant processing services, secure credit card payment gateways, check services and credit card processing equipment.[4]

CardFlex's products include a direct deposit PayCard, an automated, web-based gratuity distribution and tracking system and a system for electronically collecting and distributing student payments for financial aid and other programs.[5]

In July of 2014, the Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit seeking to recover more than $26 million from seven companies, including CardFlex. The lawsuit alleges that unauthorized charges were made by one of the companies’ former clients.[6][7] CardFlex filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.[8]
